Employment, Deployment, Appointment

Employed by the church, or deployed to the church?
An employment from the church, or an appointment from God?
It makes a great different in our attitude towards ministry and the way we minister.
Dictionary.com defines...
Employment - an occupation by which a person earns a living; work; business.
Deploy - to spread out strategically or in an extended front or line. To come into a position ready for use

Imagine a hospital with sick people who thinks that they are not sick, and yet keep on telling the doctors how to be a doctor and what a doctor should do.

Hospital in a mess.
Doctors are frustrated.
Sick people ...

Finally! A Short Moment of Rain.

Yes! Finally there was a short moment of rain yesterday night, the weather changed slightly. There was, at least, a light breeze of cool wind. And I'm able to sleep well. Thank God!

Was not able to sleep well for the passed number of days because of the hot and humid weather. On top of that, I had quite an hectic weekend.

Friday and Saturday was trying to finish up the video presentation for Mother's Day and prepare songs for Phos Teens felloship.

My sister called on Saturday morning asking if I could make it back home on Saturday night to have a surprise birthday celebration for my dad. I could not confirm with her until 9pm as my conscience tells me I should go back no matter what. The speaker of Phos Teens fellowship hasnot finish his message even though it already 10.20pm! So I had no choice but to leave before it ends and I "terbang" in speed to get to my parent's place in time.

Next day, as it's Mother's day, I had to rush back for lunch after Sunday worship service. The lunch ended about 2 something. I got home about 3 something, took a nap. And I had to go pick up my parents and attend my cousin sister's wedding dinner. We finish off our dinner and left early my parent needs to attend another wedding dinner. Again in a hurry!

Then monday I need to send my sister to the airport even though I'm not too well.

So my whole weekend was hectic and i was tired due to not enough sleep and rest.

However, God is good. Thank Him for the strength!

By Monday night, I was very very tired but still could not sleep well. The hot weather!

And Finally! I heard the sound of thunder as I was praying in the Prayer Meeting, I knew the rain was coming, and yes indeed! Though the rain was just for short moment, but makes a lot of difference.

Thank God for the thunder that comes before the rain. Thank God for the hot weather that was before the thunder and the rain. Thank God for the sleepless night so that I know the strength was from Him. Thank God for discomfort so that I would appreciate what is true comfort.

JUST A THOUGHT...

The economic situation now is like the hot weather that causes my sleepless night.
The chaotic and messed-up government is like the hectic weekend I had.
I'm tired, but the strength for such a time comes only from God alone.
As prayer persist, soon there's gonna be a sound of thunder, and it will be followed by the rain.
Though the rain may be just for a short moment, but it's going to make a lot of difference.
It's going to bring a certain rest.
Do not be disturbed by the hot weather.
Do not loose focus in the midst of hectic weekends.
Know with certainty that the thunder will come, and there will be rain.
Are we prepared for the coming rain?

God, the world needs You!

When I look around what is happening in the world, I'm always reminded about Your returning. No one knows when will it be. For You have said it is not for us to know.

How soon or how long? This is not the question I should ask. But I should always consider, "Am I pursuing and growing in holiness? Am I living my best in preparation for Your glorious return?"

You've already said that You are coming at the time I do not expect, therefore help me to be watchful and be prepared.

God, please help me live through all in awe.
Lord, please help me surrender my all.
Where would I be, if it's not because of You?
What would I do, if it's not for You?
Place me where You want me to be.
Teach me what you want me to do.
Who would I be, if I'm not to be like You?
Make me the person You want me to be.

The world needs You; the world needs to know You, the world needs to see You.

While patiently waiting for You to return, show me the little I can be, so that others may knowing the greatness of who You are.
Amen.

Update on Channel [C]

Decided to add an extra "feature" to Channel [C]. I call it CMV, which stands for Christian Music Video, powered by Youtube.

Thought of making Channel [C] a little bit more interesting. Rather than just sharing my thoughts, I would also like to share some of the songs I like. I noticed that my blog will be 2 years old in this coming May 30. This would also be a good update to mark this special day.

Since teenagers and youth likes to watch MTV and listens to music. Hope through CMV, I can introduce some Christian music to you.

I'll update the playlist every week, and it will be my "Weekly Favourite 5 CMV".

If you heard of any songs, new or old, which you think is nice and worth introducing to others, please do share with me too.

best regards,
choycharles

Beautifully Imperfect

Thanks to a brother who shares this video link in his Facebook.

In any relationship, there will be frustration and disappointment. Simply, no one is perfect. In our life, we would come across many people who might gives us headache and heartache. Simply, no one is perfect. Very often, the person closest to us, dearest in our heart, irritates us and hurts us the most. Simply, you and that person, both are not perfect.

Everyone is imperfect in his or her own way, everyone has their short-comings and weaknesses, but it is possible for us to see the beauty of each imperfect individuals, if only we are willing to love them.

In the eyes of God, every one of us are beautiful. Because He loves every one of us. For that, the Perfect One gave Himself for us, the imperfect ones, in order that we can step into the journey of perfection.

Purpose Driven Death

Everyone is progressing nearer towards death.
Everyday, we live knowing we cannot escape that.
Every moment of our life will turn into a fading memory.
Every human body are turned into dust after it is buried.

This death is inevitable.
But His purpose driven death made it nothing but temporal.
This death now has become just another phase in life.
This death is now the narrow gate towards eternity life.

Since death is unavoidable in life
It's wise to spend time thinking about death.
Let us not think so much about our life,
But rather reflect upon His purposeful death.
Reflect also upon His words and His life,
So you would have a purpose driven death.

If you want your life to soar,
Then ask yourself, "what am I dying for?"
Since Jesus provides you with an opened door,
Then what are you actually waiting for?
